You probably already know that biker shorts are in, but did you know that you can literally wear them everyday?

Let this serve as a guide to help you style your biker shorts in a dozen different ways so you never have to take off your comfy pair.

Matching Set

The Dona Jo JoJo Biker Short ECO in Summer matches perfectly with the Dona Jo Smash Tank in Summer.

A simple yet underrated look is pairing your biker shorts with a matching tank top or sports bra.

Your outfit is all one color, so you don’t have to worry about clashing colors or patterns. You also look like you 100% have your life together just by wearing a matching top and bottoms. And we’ll let you in on a secret - your set doesn’t have to be a perfect match. If you find a cute top in the same color but a different brand as your favorite pair of biker shorts, you can totally get away with if it’s a close enough match.

A matching set is perfect for hitting the gym and lifting weights (and maybe a little of admiring yourself in the mirrors).

Oversized T-Shirt

If you want a really casual look, we suggest throwing on an oversized t-shirt over your biker shorts.

The skin tight pant contrasts nicely with the flowy tee, so it’s a good choice if you want to show off your legs and tush and nothing else. Don’t worry, we all have those days!

An oversized t-shirt is also a nice choice if you want to opt for comfort. Oversized t-shirts are as comfy as it gets, but the biker shorts refine this look so it’s not all comfort over style.

To keep the comfort going, in addition to an oversized t-shirt, tack on some chunky sneakers to complete the look.

Blazer

No, we’re not crazy for suggesting you pair your biker shorts with a blazer - hear us out.

You need to dress a little more upscale than you usually do, but you want to show off your new biker shorts. Here’s the solution.

Pairing your biker shorts with a blazer gives you that chic look that you can rock while you’re out to brunch with the girls or meeting up at a restaurant with family, but allots you the comfort of wearing a comfy tight pant.

And for the people who are always cold and feel as though you could never wear biker shorts - we hear you. This look is perfect for you because it allows you to rock biker shorts while staying warm up top.

If you really want to go all out chic, pair your biker shorts and blazer with heels.

Sports Bra

The Aerie Offline Ribbed Biker Short in Raw Rienna pairs nicely with any sports bra.

Because biker shorts are naturally high waisted, wearing only a sports bra with them isn’t as revealing as you might initially think.

Biker shorts are naturally high-rise and longer in length than other shorts, so a sports bra as a top is actually a great choice for many reasons.

For one, showing a little skin between pieces actually makes or breaks an outfit sometimes, and we think that with biker shorts this can be the case.

For another, the biker shorts and sports bra look is perfect for the gym when you’re working up a sweat or if you are just someone who gets hot easily in general.

Denim Jacket

A jean jacket is the perfect top to pair with biker shorts if you want to dress up your casual look. Image courtesy of Cosmopolitan.

A denim jacket is somewhere between an oversized t-shirt and a blazer, which is perfect if you want to look nice but not too nice for an event.

A denim jacket with biker shorts is a great look if you’re going on a walk or going to watch a baseball game. And it’s also perfect for in between weather when you’re not sure if it’s going to be hot or cold.

You can wear a tank or a t-shirt under the jean jacket and sneakers. To accentuate the going-to-a-baseball-game look, throw on a baseball cap for your favorite team to keep it casual.

Hoodie

If you want to be comfy, we suggest throwing on a hoodie with your biker shorts. We totally believe comfort is a priority, so if this is what comfort means to you - go for it!

It’s also not true at all that you won’t look cute if you just wear a hoodie. Hoodies are a staple and there are so many cute hoodies out there. Plus, when in doubt, you know your biker shorts are pulling their weight and making your comfy look cute even if you feel like your hoodie isn’t.

Crewneck

Crewnecks are doing similar work to hoodies, but we want to make sure they feel seen too!

Crewnecks come in so many different styles, from lighter crewnecks for the spring to heavier crewnecks for the winter to more fashionable or more comfortable styles. The bottom line is that you have a lot of choices to go with here.

Throwing a crewneck on with your biker shorts is the perfect casual look for grocery shopping or for going to the gym.

Cardigan

A cardigan like Target’s Universal Thread Women’s Cardigan in Cream can soften your biker short look.

Biker shorts are sort of edgy. If you want to soften your look, we suggest pairing your biker shorts with a cardigan.

You can wear a t-shirt or tank top under your cardigan. We like to pair a cardigan with a t-shirt when going somewhere casual and a tank top when trying to dress up a bit.

With this look, feel free to add a cute backpack or string purse with your essentials. As for the shoes, you can never go wrong with chunky white sneakers.

Turtleneck

A turtleneck may sound like a bit of an odd pairing with biker shorts, but as with the cardigan, it serves to soften your look.

If you like to dress preppy but really want to experience the biker short trend, wearing a turtleneck with biker shorts is the perfect way to make this trend your own.

We suggest an oversized turtleneck to complement the tight form of the biker shorts. Adding rings or a nice watch may also accentuate your chic look.

You can opt to wear heels or sneakers with a turtleneck and biker shorts, and we love how versatile this look is.
